New X startup script installed

The existing script could not handle situations where
  1. The user's home directory was inaccessible due to a server outage or permission problem
  2. There were errors in the user's login scripts
  3. The user was over quota
In all of the above cases, the user would be immediately logged out with no opportunity to correct the problem.

The new script will create a temporary home directory in /tmp and log you in with standard defaults. You can then make any changes you need and then log out and back in again.
