MATLAB ML/Stat and DL Workshop Overview

These hands-on, self-paced workshops are taught by engineers from MathWorks, the creators of MATLAB, and provide an introduction to the Machine-Learning/Statistics and Deep-Learning Toolboxes in MATLAB. By working through common scenarios and workflows using hands-on demos, you will gain an understanding of these toolboxes and their capabilities.

The workshop is aimed at all members of the UMD community interested in Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) who want to learn on how to easily develop and perform ML and DL tasks using MATLAB.

Prerequisites

Some basic familiarity with MATLAB is assumed. If you are not familiar with MATLAB or a bit rusty, you might wish to take the free self-paced MATLAB Onramp course from Mathworks (about 2 hours).

System Requirements

These are generally bring-your-own-laptop style events. Before attending you will want to have a recent version of MATLAB, including the ML/Statistics and DL Toolboxes, installed on your laptop. This is available at no charge to members of the University of Maryland community via the campus Total Academic Headcount license.

More details on the course, the system requirements, etc. can be found in the page for a specific offering of the course.

Upcoming/recent offerings of the Workshop
