This afternoon workshop is targeted at new users of the University's High Performance Computing resources (Deepthought2 and Juggernaut clusters), especially those with limited or no HPC experience. This course will introduce participants to the basics of high-performance computing (HPC), and will briefly cover:
Much of the above tasks will be discussed in terms of the recently added OnDemand web portal for the cluster.
None. This is an introductory workshop and is targeted at new users of our clusters, so no previous knowledge of high performance computing is assumed.
As this webinar will be offered via Zoom, you are assumed to have a system (preferably a laptop or desktop) with Zoom installed. You will likely also want to have a modern web browser to look at the OnDemand portal.
While the official registration deadline is 23 August 2020, we are currently limiting this workshop to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration will close once the workshop is full.
NOTE: DIT reserves the right to cancel the workshop for any reason with little notice --- if the workshop is cancelled by DIT any and all registration fees will be refunded.
