This workshop series is intended to introduce new and less-experienced users of the High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters at the University of Maryland to various aspects of High Performance Computing. This workshop series is offered during the Fall semesters (and potentially Spring semesters).
This workshop series will introduce participants to the basics of high-performance computing (HPC), unix/linux shell scripting, software compilation tools, and techniques to parallelize computer code. To learn more details about these topics, please register for the corresponding half- or full-day workshops.
Each 2-hours session of this workshop series will cover a specific topic
in form of a presentation and following discussion.

There are no prerequisites for this workshop series. These are introductory workshops, targeted at new and less-experienced users of HPC, so no previous knowledge of high performance computing is assumed.
