General usage information

The GNU Multiple Precision Atrithmetic Library (GMP) is a free library for arbitrary precision arithmetic, operating on signed integers, rational numbers, and floating-point numbers.

The following environmental variables have been defined:

• \$GMP_ROOT has been set to the root of the gmp installation
• \$GMP_LIBDIR points to the directory containing the libraries
• \$GMP_INCDIR points to the directory containing the header files

You will probably wish to use these by adding the following flags to your compilation command (e.g. to CFLAGS in your Makefile):

• -I\$GMP_INCDIR

and the following flags to your link command (e.g. LDFLAGS in your Makefile):

• -L\$GMP_LIBDIR -Wl,-rpath,\$GMP_LIBDIR
