16,000 GORE VOTES DISAPPEAR IN VOLUSIA COUNTY There have been numerous reports of Gore votes "disappearing" in Volusia county. Early reports give the number 10,000. Later reports put the total at 16,000. The reports describe a computer glitch that was fixed, supposedly restoring the missing votes. The mysterious drop was noticed by state election officials and caught on at least one television broadcast between 2:00 and 2:15AM Wednesday morning. Could it be that because Florida and newspapers only report Gore and Bush totals, this 3rd party error is being overlooked? LOCAL REPORTERS CHRONICLE COMPUTER GLITCHES IN VOLUSIA COUNTY 3. Local news reports chronicled computer errors on Tuesday, as well as during primaries in September 2000. See articles: Describes a broken counting machine at a polling precinct in Volusia county: Go There Describes computers being put in a vault after errors were found, and memory burning out on a tabulating machine: Go There Describes computer errors during September primaries, as well as other questionable events during past elections in Volusia: Go There VOLUSIA RECOUNT SHOWS NO CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!! 4. Volusia's recount results have been posted. See: Go There. Gore and Bush received exactly the same totals as initially reported (not a common occurence if one looks at the results from other counties). Could it be that during the recount, no one in Volusia was looking at the abnormally large totals of the three fringe candidates? It appears that Gore's missing 16,000 votes were misattributed to other candidates.
